boomerang airlines

This project involved the creation of Boomerang Airlines, a conceptual domestic airline carrier designed to be based at the new Western Sydney Airport. The core task was to develop a complete and cohesive brand identity for the airline and apply it across its key customer touchpoints.
A central part of this project was the design of a mobile app booking system. The visual identity was anchored by a distinctive colour palette featuring a primary purple with a warm brown accent, creating a unique and memorable look within the airline industry. This branding was translated directly into the app's interface. The app was designed not only for booking flights but also to enhance the traveller's experience by providing valuable information, including destination weather forecasts and a guide to local events happening during the week of their stay.
Developed as a comprehensive project for my Advanced Diploma in Graphic Design, Boomerang Airlines was an exercise in building and applying a brand system. The challenge was to ensure the visual identity, from its unique colours to its typography, was implemented effectively in a functional digital context, demonstrating a consistent brand experience from initial concept to a user-focused application.
